Looking forward to 2018

Happy New Year to our friends, family, neighbors, and supporters.  As we reflect on the past year, we realize that now more than ever how proud we are to be part of this amazing community here in wine country.  Sonoma County's hospitality community has never been stronger, and we are more committed than ever to providing our guests with a world-class welcome and unforgettable experiences. We are thankful to be part of it all.

Between your generous donations and our partners that assisted us in putting together a successful Fire Relief Benefit Weekend, especially James Marshall Berry, Tim Curley, and Catherine Vinturini; we raised over $10,000 for the Sonoma County Resilience Fun and Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief Fund.  The unprecedented outpouring of generosity and support that has come from our community is incredible, and will continue to help us recover and rebuild in 2018. With your help and support, the Sonoma County Resilience Fund has raised $10 million to date. The fund was established by the Community Foundation Sonoma County to address mid- to long term recovery to local Sonoma County communities post North Bay wildfires.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to our partners, especially the John Burdick Band, The Cork Pullers, and Mark Larson whom all donated their time and played music at no charge to support the cause during the Sonoma Strong Relief Mini Music Festival we hosted at the Red School House.  With their assistance, the generous donations we received, and the organizations who hosted events to raise funds and awareness; here is how we together made a difference:

  • $1714 cash donations were collected in our tasting room for the Sonoma County Resilience Fund from October 27-October 31 during our Sonoma Strong Relief Mini Music Festival
  • $4525 donated by Muscardini Cellars to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund; 25% of all sales generated from October 27-October 31 during our Sonoma Strong Relief Mini Music Festival
  • $2300 was raised by Catherine Vinturini and her staff of Cuvee Catering and Olive & Vine Restaurant during our Sonoma Strong Relief Mini Music Festival. Catherine and her staff all worked for reduced wages and donated 100% of all their sales and gratuities to the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief Fund.
  • $4540 in wine sales were generated at the 2017 “Lighting of the Plaza” hosted by the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Association.  Muscardini Cellars donated wine valued at $1224 to this event in which 100% of all wine sales were donated to the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief Fund
  • Wine valued at $2894 was donated by Muscardini Cellars to the following organizations and events supporting various Fire Relief Funds including:
    • “Kenwood Strong: A Grateful Community” organized by members of the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood, Kenwood Community Church, St. Patrick’s Church, the Kenwood Education Foundation, and Kenwood Vineyard honoring the efforts of the Kenwood Fire Department, Cal Fire, and first responders.
    • Sarah Stierch’s ComfortDrinks.net - “Bringing bottles of comfort to victims of disasters since 2017” gifted over $8,000 in beverages to over 100 North Bay Fire survivors.
    •  “A Night of Friendship & Neighbors" benefitting The Napa & Sonoma Relief Fund, in partnership with Tipping Point, ensures that 100% of what you give will be directed to North Bay community foundations, service providers and partners supporting the low-income communities hit hardest by the devastating wild fires of Napa, Sonoma and surrounding areas. Thanks to our generous sponsors, all ticket and table proceeds will benefit the Relief Fund to be used where it is needed most.

We appreciate your generosity and support in 2017 and look forward to continuing our #SonomaStrong efforts together in 2018!
