Muscardini Cellars in a Nutshell
Vineyards were first planted on Michael Muscardini’s nearby Valley of the Moon estate in 2000. Now, Muchael Muscardini sources grapes from properties all over Sonoma Valley, Healdsburg and even Redwood Valley in Mendocino County to craft his artisan wines found exclusively at the Muscardini Cellars tasting room in Kenwood.
A family owned and operated winery, you will often find Michael Muscardini himself pouring glasses and greeting guests at the door. A relaxing tasting room right on Sonoma Valley’s stunning wine tasting trail, Sonoma Highway. With so many wonderful wine and food stops right around the corner, it is a wonderful place to find oneself for a day of tasting in Northern California.

Visiting the Tasting Room in Kenwood, CA
When visiting the tasting room, guests can bring a picnic and taste on the patio out front boasting fabulous views of the Mayacama Mountains across the road. They offer table service, pick your own bottle and enjoy or select a variety of glasses / flights of Muscardini’s award-winning wines. There is a large space out back as well for guests to enjoy which is large enough for weddings, events and meetings as well.
The Muscardini Tasting Room offers a variety of artisan local cheeses, breads and spreads from famous chefs like Sondra Bernstein from the girl & the fig. Dogs are welcome too and the large lawn area out back is fabulous for those pet friendly travelers and local alike!
Picnic tables are scattered throughout the lawn and among shaded trees for guests to grab a bottle, a bite and a moment to enjoy themselves. For a more intimate experience, the tasting room also offers reserve tastings featuring much more exclusive wines… Sign Me Up!!
The tasting room is a harmonious balance between a passion for art and a passion for the grape. Michael Muscardini is the winery owner and he also serves as the wine-maker.
Awards & Accolades
In 1999 Michael Muscardini took a leap of faith and decided to enter the world of wine. He bought land in Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon region and planted Sangiovese vineyards.
Fast-forward to 5 years later and the grapes harvested from this original planting, a “Tesoro” (Translated: “Treasure”) win the “Best in Class Gold Medal” at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. With over 3,169 entries from 16 various countries, Muscardini Cellars passion shined through… Gold.
