2017 Fortuna, B Wise Vineyards

This proprietary red blend consists of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Zinfandel, 16% Syrah, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petite Verdot all from the BWise Estate. Aged for 18 months in 35% new French oak, this wine opens with rich aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry, espresso, cocoa and spice. The rich aromas are followed with concentrated flavors of dark cherry, bittersweet cocoa, and red and blue berries.  This wine has a velvety texture and a long elegant finish making it the perfect pairing for semi-soft bleu cheese, garlic baked portobello mushrooms, charred brisket, spicy sausages, braised short ribs, classic lasagna, Mexican mole, and black bean soup or chili.
