2019 Sangiovese, Alpicella Vineyards
Full-bodied with an attractive dark crimson hue, the nose is delighted by fragrant aromas of ripe berries, blue fruits, and notes of potpourri, licorice, chocolate truffle, baking spices, and sandalwood. On the palate, the generous flavors of wild strawberry, black raspberry, blueberry, ripe cherry, and pomegranate are layered with hints of fresh sage, cinnamon, clove, caramel, and roasted hazelnuts. As the personality of the wine continues to expand, the natural richness and complex flavors are balanced with a smooth, elegant texture, fine tannins, and a burst of bright acidity.
