2019 Syrah, Vadasz Vineyards

From the highly touted 2019 vintage, this limited-release Syrah is crafted with grapes grown at Vadasz Vineyards in the heart of Sonoma Valley. The nose features fragrant aromas of red and blue fruits which are enhanced with hints of crushed violets, fresh lavender, leather, allspice, and cigar box. These aromas translate into the palate, where the lush flavors of ripe blackberry, raspberry, boysenberry, and blueberry cobbler are layered with notes of chocolate truffle, cinnamon, clove, black olives, sea salt, and a kiss of fine oak. Bright, elegant, and flavorful in its youth; the long-term impact of the wine’s smooth texture, firm structure, and supple tannins set the tone for its ability to age for 15 or more years. 

Pairings include blue cheese, roasted vegetables, roasted chicken with lavender, pan-seared duck breast with berry reduction sauce, and slow roasted lamb.
